31 August Email

Subject: Osorio

Hey family,

Everything's going great here. Not much has happened in the last week. We've been knocking on a lot of doors but it doesn't seem to be helping much. We cut a bunch of families last week also because they were hiding from us. We had a division last Wednesday and my companion went with a member to a few families that we had started teaching and for one of them the lady peeked out the window and then waved for her husband to turn off the lights -  the lights went off and no one answered the door.

If you guys have any ideas on how to find some new people you can let me know.

How are things at home? Where are they going to put the new chapel? In Victor? Are you guys going to be part of the Conesus Lake Branch now? That would be fun to drive to church every week.

I don't have much else to say. The work keeps moving on here. If we're lucky we'll have a baptism toward the end of this transfer, but other than that we don't have many other people that are really progressing like we had in Carazinho. It's going to rain all the rest of this week here too. =]

Hope you are all having a great time with school starting and the sports and hunting. Start the school year strong. Looks like Rose and Rem will have a ton of work with all the IB programs that they are planning on taking. Have fun with that... ; )

Love,

Elder Steele

P.S. - Thanks for getting that package in the mail. Keep 'em coming! If you guys send the next one this same week I could have the opportunity of receiving two packages at the same time. Think about how jealous the other missionaries would be...!
