Subject: Last week of the transfer

Hey Everyone,

Transfers are coming up quickly here in Osório. Not much has happened this past week. I got the package you sent, and we already ate everything, so you should get that Christmas package on its way fast. Everything arrived safely in the package. Thanks for the Pageant shirt and the pants, my old ones were getting worn out. You guys keep telling me that people got their mission calls or so and so left for their mission, but you forget to tell me to where. My comp is great. We get along good.

We have been teaching quite a few people these past few weeks. But we still continue to cut more people than we find. I would say that the most rewarding thing about missionary work is being able to meet new people and learn all of their customs and culture.

I know I promised you all photos this week, but my card reader stopped working and my comp forgot to bring his camera to the LAN House today, so I will send you all a bunch of photos next week.

Oh and mom the missing word is Correios i think.
Beleza então

Hope you all have a great week and continue working hard at everything that you are all doing.

Love you all,

Elder Jonathan P. Steele

P.S.

Send a happy birthday hug to both Liz (Nov. 1st) and Madison (Nov. 23) for me.

Good Luck to Zac and Sarah on the move! I hope you guys will be able to get there and get settled safely.

Are Rem and Rose going to fly home for Christmas from BYU?

What does Rosie want for Christmas? I should probably send a package to you guys soon, maybe i will prepare one this week if i get around to it.

Hey family,

Everything's great here in Osório. We had a baptism last Saturday. Everything went well. We have been looking for ways to find new investigators still. This Friday we are going to do a training for the branch to see if we can get some more references.

How is the Fall going there? Have the leaves all changed color yet? Right now it's entering Summer. We are starting to get some pretty hot days now, but nothing like last year when it hit 110 degrees Fahrenheit a couple of days.

It sounds like Savannah will be the only one left in Provo until the twins go to college. Have Rose and Rem started their aplications yet to BYU?

The package arrived here along with a few letters. My LD has them in his area and I will get them all Thursday.

Will send you the photos next week.

Love you all,

Élder Steele

Subject: Carta Semanal

Hey everybody,

Everything is going great here in Brasil. We have a baptism this Saturday and we should have a few more towards the end of the month. Hopefully we will be able to reach our goal of 4 for the month of October. Conference was great, we only got to watch the 2 sessions Sunday but I'm sure that in about 6 months we should be getting the Ensign Conference edition at the rate the Brazilian postal service works. São Paulo elected a comedian as their federal deputy (under the slogan "Does anyone know what a Federal Deputy Does? Neither do I, But if you vote on me I'll find out and let you know"). Maybe it has been passing on the news there. Some of the elections here will move into the second term term now since they didn't manage to get at least 50 percent of the votes. Not too much else has happened this week. Hope you all have an excellent week.

Love,
Elder Steele
